Scope of Care: Patients with ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, post-operative neuro-oncology, neurodegenerative disorders, motor neuron disease, post-spinal cord injury surgery, or following major cardiac surgery. Includes patients with hemodynamic instability after fracture surgery, organ dysfunction (cardiopulmonary, hepatic, or renal) requiring advanced life support, and those with persistent impairments in consciousness, cognition, language, motor function, or swallowing. Also covers patients requiring long-term mechanical ventilation due to any cause, including those with difficult weaning or extubation. Services include organ support, infection prevention and treatment, nutritional support, and comprehensive airway management (endotracheal intubation, tracheostomy, sputum drainage, tracheostomy tube capping, and extubation).
